Called to Be The Light + Honoring the Light of Diamond DeYampert
This episode is honor and life of the beautiful light found, Diamond DeYampert, Pastor of The Freedom Room - “Thee Reverend Bestie”
(rest in heaven)
Sitting here just a little after 10 pm... scrolling on my personal Instagram because, to be honest, I often forget to check in over there outside of the podcast page. While scrolling I am reminded that life is precious and timely as I stumble across a heartbroken post.
Not that it was personal for me, but a beautiful face had my curious mind in wonder… “Why the heartbreak?” Well, I soon discovered The Freedom Room page out of Detroit. Curiously enough l started to read and acknowledge some amazing work of the Lord be done.
At this time I was still wasn’t sure who the pretty face was on account of what I was looking at. A few moments later and a couple of posts later… I realized that the pretty face was the pastor and founder!! Wow. Of course, I wanted to find her personal Instagram page to see more of whom I had just discovered. As I look upon her story unfolding in the delight of things chosen to be publicly shared. I was deeply encouraged by the fight, her fight at the goodness of the Lord. Looking at what was exposed was quickly admired and recognized as impact. I was moved and greatly appreciated for willingness and courage to not only be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ; but the light amid her darkness, her community, and the beloved city of Detroit. While my eyes were open to see the beautiful Diamond DeYampert, my heart ached because it was only in her death. What a purpose of leaving here in life that even in death; there will be LIGHT!! I am completely honored to know her name. Not in life, but light. FOREVER.
Fly high sis.
Heaven awaits you. - Keanna (notes from my iPhone)
